Electrical Project for Construction & Estimation

This project is based on the electrical design and quantity estimation for a building. The layout includes various types of light fixtures, switches, and sensors strategically placed across different rooms and areas of the structure.

Project Scope:

• Electrical layout planning for a residential or commercial building.

• Placement and quantity estimation of lighting, switches, and sensors.

• Designed for efficient energy usage and safety, including emergency backups.

Layout Summary:

• The design includes specific zones for dimming control.

• Emergency backup lights (BATT) are installed in key areas like bedrooms and offices.

• Occupancy sensors are strategically placed in rooms like the Simulator Room, Restrooms, and Closets to automatically control lights and save energy.

• Switches and dimmers are distributed based on access points and usage needs.

Electrical Quantity Takeoff Using Bluebeam

This task involved performing electrical quantity takeoff for items using Bluebeam software. The quantity details were extracted from the construction drawing and compiled systematically.

Project Scope:
Electrical layout identification for an existing facility.

Marking and quantifying all components to be removed, such as:

• Power supply panels

• Switches

• Receptacles

• Nurse call systems

• Smoke detectors, sensors, etc.

Software used:

Bluebeam Revu for drawing markups and quantity extraction.

Quantities were recorded and optionally exported to Excel for better reporting and estimation.

Layout Summary:
Symbols and notes were marked in the plan using color-coded tags for each item (as shown in the floor layout).

Quantities were calculated for:

• 139 duplex receptacles

• 27 nurse call devices

• 10 smoke detectors

• 17 telephone/data outlets

• And other electrical elements.

Each item corresponds to a specific Note number and symbol in the drawing layout.

The plan ensures a clean and organized removal process before the new installation phase.

Outcome:
Accurate electrical quantity takeoff completed.

All items mapped clearly in the floor plan using Bluebeam.

Quantity list ready for cost estimation and planning.

Data can be further processed in Excel if required.
